The TS-8150-4710 is a modular PC/104 single board computer built for industrial applications featuring a high performance 800 MHz Marvell Arm9™-based CPU and -40 to 85 °C temperature range. Two microSD cards are used to provide a RAID-like solution for data and file system integrity using our DoubleStore technology. The TS-4710 System-on-Module (SoM) provides many industry standard connectors and interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I2C, DIO, and more, all brought out on two rugged and reliable 100-pin TS-SOCKET connectors. The signals are carried to the TS-8150 baseboard to transceivers and connectors. This modular design ensures future-ready deployment, as the TS-4710 SoM can swapped out for another SoM with an upgraded CPU and components. The TS-8150-4710 can be protected from the environment with the TS-ENC720, a rugged metal enclosure. For customers of our TS-7200 and TS-7300 series of single board computers, this TS-8150-4710 provides and excellent upgrade path.
The TS-8150-4710 is very similar to it's sibling, the TS-8150-4712 with the only differences being the increased temperature range of -40 to 85 °C and single Ethernet port instead of dual.
The TS-8150-4710 comes preloaded with two different bootup environments: a Busybox initial ramdisk for a sub-second bootup time, and Debian Linux for a familiar, desktop-like environment. GNU development tools, like gcc and gdb, are also installed, making on-board development easy. Cross compile toolchains are also available so you can develop using your favorite desktop IDE. As with most Linux distributions, other services like Apache Web Server, CGI-BIN, FTP, SSH, Telnet, Samba network services, etc. are available. Also included are user space utilities and applications to control DIO and more so that you can get your product to market in record time.
As with all of our products, the cross compile toolchains, source code, schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals for the TS-8150-4710 are freely available for download in the resources tab.
