Technologic Systems announces a family of products based on the NXP/Freescale i.MX283 ARM9 CPU running Linux at 454MHz. This release including multiple form factors enables a wide range of embedded systems applications and provides flexibility for customers to design a low power, low cost, and long life embedded solution. Fast boot to Linux Kernel 2.6
Our NXP/Freescale i.MX283 embedded products run Linux 2.6.35 kernel out of the box from Micro SD cards, as well as an initial ramdisk for a very fast boot and a Debian Squeeze distribution for complete software support. Linux is highly recommended and our products embrace the open-source vision. There is no proprietary source code in the kernel since all the hardware specific functionalities are handled by user-space utilities. The complete hardware support provided by Linux enables quick application development.
Full Debian Squeeze for Embedded Development
The Debian Squeeze environment provides a powerful, stable, and familiar software stack, with over 28,000 ready-to-use software packages. It includes many common interpreters such as Python, Mono (C#), Ruby, PHP, TCL, Perl, Java, and Bash. Debian also includes the GNU Compiler Collection, allowing C/C++ on-board development.
FPGA Customization
Our NXP/Freescale i.MX283 computers include an user-programmable Lattice XP2 5K LUT FPGA which by default implements several of our controllers such as XUARTs, and SPI controller, and more. The FPGA allows logic which can be tailored for your project in Verilog, or using our FPGA customization services. This allows simple additions of features such as pulse counters, quadrature, pwm, uarts, custom PID loops, and much more.

The TS-4600 is a long-life TS-SOCKET computer module that provides a migration path from the TS-4500 offering a performance increase, and additional RAM for more flexibility.
The TS-4600 runs at approximately 1.5W base power and features up to 256MB of DDR2 RAM, 10/100 Ethernet, high speed USB hosts, and 2 Micro SD sockets. Additional features include battery backed RTC, SPI, I2C, ADC, 8 UART ports, 107 DIOs, LCD support.

TS-7600 Compact Embedded Computer at $95
The TS-7600 embedded computer includes a 44 pin header and a 26 pin header with external interfaces for DIO lines, SPI, I2C, UARTs, or custom FPGA logic. The TS-7600 provides a migration path from the TS-7500/TS-7550 offering a performance increase, and additional pins for more flexibility. Features include up to 256MB RAM, 10/100 Ethernet, high speed USB hosts, 2 Micro SD sockets, and more.
